About Me

Hi, I’m Anna.

After moving to the “real” country, I have been making baby steps to make my old dream of simple living a reality and becoming “me” again. I write about my life, what I’m making and creating, loves and frustrations, and all aspects of my life journey, learnings, and hobby farm adventures. I have goats, so adventures are a given.

I am a writer by nature, and believe in that old adage that you don’t become a writer, you are born one, and 2015 became the year that I’m once again sharing my writing. 2016 may be the year my living will come from writing and running my hobby farm, all while taking being caregiver for my disabled partner.

I am also non traditional when it comes to who I love, how I do things, and what I believe in.

I am a realist, as well as a strong believer in self sufficiency, even with the strong pushback I receive from my SO.  Above all, live is a never ending experiment, and I will never stop learning and evolving.  And my life experiences, joys, and frustrations will fuel my writings.

Camp-Winner-2015-Square-Button“We come into this world with a specific, personal destiny. We have a job to do, a calling to enact, a self to become. We are who we are from the cradle, and we’re stuck with it.
Our job in this lifetime is not to shape ourselves into some ideal we imagine we ought to be, but to find out who we already are and become it.”  from “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield

“The fates are vicious and they’re cruel, You learn too late you’ve used two wishes like a fool, and then you’re someone you are not”  — from “Wicked Little Town”, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, lyrics by Stephen Trask

  1. Hi

    My name is Mark.
I noticed that you tweeted one of my favorite articles “Seven Habits of Optimistic People”.
That is such a great post.

I was hearing from my readers that they wanted something more in depth about getting positive thinking to work (even for pessimists) , so I went ahead and created this post: http://wp.me/p6bNAS-K

If you have time I’d love for you to check it out, and if you like it, it would be awesome if you could share it or maybe leave a comment.
    Thanks!
